Dance Attire: Appropriate dance shoes, leotard, crop top, tight tank, booty shorts, biker shorts, or leggings. Hair must be tied back. You may wear tights and prefer them small dancers. Please label all shoes.
Tiny & Kinder Shoes: Tan Tap Shoe, Pink Ballet Shoe
Petite & Jr/Tn Combo Shoes: Tan Jazz Shoes
Kinder Pommies: Tan Jazz Shoes
Hip Hop: Primarily Black Sneakers with white soles (not found at the dance store)
Mini Movers: (formally Tiny Dance) Ages 3 through 5, must be toilet trained. Focuses on Tap, Ballet, and Jazz. Utilizes props, games, and activities to encourage a fun growing environment. Must have Tap and Ballet shoes as noted above. Participates in the Christmas Show in December as well as two routines at the Recital in May.
Little Groovers: (formally Kinder Dance) Ages 5 through 7. This is for students entering Kindergarten or a younger 1st grader. Focuses on Tap, Ballet, and Jazz in a slightly more structured manner than Mini Movers. Utilizes props, games, and activities to encourage a fun growing environment. Must have Tap and Ballet shoes as noted above. Participates in the Christmas Show in December as well as two routines at the Recital in May.
Sweet & Sassy: (formally Petite Dance) Ages 1st-3rd grade. Focuses on Jazz and Lyrical styles with routines using beginner movements to start and working their way to more advanced moves with the emphasis on fun rather than perfection and learning the love of dance. Must have Jazz shoes as noted above. Participates in the Christmas Show in December as well as two routines at the Recital in May.
Dancespirations: (formally Jr. Dance) Ages 4th-6th grade. Focuses on Jazz and Lyrical styles and routines starting with beginner movements and working their way to more advanced moves with an emphasis on fun rather than perfection and learning the love of dance. Must have Jazz shoes as noted above. Participates in the Christmas Show in December as well as two routines at the Recital May in May.
Shake It Up: (formally Poms) Ages 1st-6th grade. This class will focus on Pom Drill style moves including but not limited to a little hip hop or funky jazz. Students will use Pom Poms we have here at Trilogy and must have Jazz shoes as listed above. Participates in the Christmas Show in December as well as one routine in the Recital May in May.
Swag Squad: (formally Hip Hop 1) Ages 1st-3rd grade. The focus is to have fun through Hip Hop movements which include body isolations, tricks, and groove with upbeat music and nearly non-stop movement. Must have primarily black tennis shoes or black hip hop sneakers. Participates in the Christmas Show in December as well as one routine at the Recital in May.
Hip Hop: Ages 6th-12th grade. This class will move at a faster pace than Swag Squad and is slightly more challenging as teens prefer it that way. Hip Hop will use a variety of music including "old school" through modern day music and possibly even a drill style mix of songs. Must have primarily black tennis shoes or black hip hop sneakers. Participates in the Christmas Show in December as well as one routine at the Recital in May.
Lights, Action, Camera: (formally Musical Theater) Ages 1st-6th grade. This class will focus on fun Broadway style routines using props, characters, fun facials, acting, and more. Must have Tan Jazz Shoes. Participates in the Christmas Show in December as well as one routine at the Recital in May.
Footwork Fanatics: (formally Tap) Ages 1st-6th grade. This super fun class is great for the kids who can't stop moving their feet and love making noise. Students will work on basics through more advanced tap movements. Must have black lace up jazz tap shoes. Participates in the Christmas Show in December on a make shift floor for sounds as well as one routine at the Recital in May.
Dance classes are held in a closed room studio. No observers are allowed to sit and view from inside the studio. We do have our cameras on in the lobby but please note the screen is small and loses signal from time to time.
Costume payments (approx. $75 each) will be due the beginning of December (we will get that info out in October). Once we have ordered costumes, we will not be accepting students for the remainder of the session). There will also be a minimal fee for the Christmas shirt and Recital Fee.
